Tell Us Where You Want Your Donation To Go

If supporters wish to restrict a donation to a particular branch, all they need to do is to let the charity know in writing.

For example, if you are sending the charity a cheque in the post,  you will just need to include a short covering letter to explain what branch you would like the funds restricted to and Head Office [HO] will allocate the branch the money when they process the income.

Equally, if you donate to the charity over the phone, you can just send an email or write a letter explaining your wishes and HO will organise the restriction.

Donating to a Fundraising Event

If you wish to contribute to a fund raising event then you can follow one of the above processes. Or if you wish to contribute to the Branch funds through the internet you can use our JustGiving charity page.

Either click here for a direct link, or visit www.justgiving.com and type “Parkinson’s UK (Solihull Branch)” into the search bar.

The web page will include in a the blurb that the funds are to go to the Solihull branch.  This will be accepted as a request in writing. When the Charity then import the money from Just Giving, it will process it on our database, as going  to the branch and not National Office.

Legacy Donations, and How You Can Specify Where It Goes and What It Gets Spent On

If you wish to ensure a legacy gift goes towards the Solihull Branch, simply inform your solicitor to include a clause within the wording of your Will, that the gift is  – for purposes of the Parkinsons UK Solihull Branch’

To help, below is an example of a sentence to include in your Will (which includes our charity name, address and charity number)

‘I {NAME} leave to Parkinson’s UK of registered office, 215, Vauxhall Bridge Road, London, SW1v 1EJ. A Charity Registration in England and Wales (258197) and in Scotland (SCO37554) {details of the legacy gift} to be used for purposes of the Parkinson’s UK Solihull Branch, and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or other duly authorised officer shall be a sufficient discharge to my executors’

Alternatively if you wish to donate to the National Organisation then your contribution can be processed via the Parkinson’s web site at “parkinsons.org.uk” where you will find details of the various ways you can donate.

WE WOULD LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR YOUR KIND DONATION WHICH WILL HELP US TO CONTINUE OUR WORK IN THE SOLIHULL AREA SUPPORTING THOSE AFFECTED BY PARKINSON’S , AND TO CONTINUE TO RAISE AWARENESS OF PARKINSON’S AND THE SEARCH FOR A CURE
